help disabled Americans fight for rights against huge insurance companies

Created by T.J. on October 17, 2011

Under current Worker's Compensation laws, it is possible for insurance companies to deny the recommendations of multiple medical doctors in order to deny or delay care for American workers injured on the job. The law favors the Insurance Companies, who already have nearly bottomless pockets over the average worker, who (especially if out of work due to a disability) are barely surviving.
It is even required now that disabled persons must be actively seeking employment (regardless of age or level of disability) in order to be eligible for benefits under Worker's Compensation.
Congress needs to ensure that there is greater accountability to ensure that the Worker's Compensation laws permit a level playing field between workers and insurance companies.
