Mr. President Obama, take a look at government programs such as SSI, SNAP, Medicaid, and so on. There are individuals that do not qualify for these programs that seriously need them and it is because they do not fit into what the policies and procedures call for. Individuals that have extremely rare disorders that are not understood do not get the help. For example, a single mother with a child that has a genetic disorder that is so rare that only her child is reported to have the disorder in the whole world gets no help. The disorder causes an eating disorder in the child, but SNAP policies and procedures do not cover this. This mother is always told "We.re sorry, but we don't help with that" over and over. Please help the families like this. Stop turning them down with nowhere to turn.
