Countless disabled people and seniors have been victims of real estate fraud as I myself was when a realtor took money from me and didn't open escrow and then switched a contract to make my down-payment non-refundable if I was unable to qualify to purchase the home. The courts failed me and it cost me over $123,000 and I'm disabled. I know there must be so many others this has happened to, and as disabled individuals are a protected class of citizens, we need financial assistance and protection from these sharks.
