The United States Government is built on the idea that anyone can be an elected official. However, in today’s America, this is simply not the case. The idea now is that any millionaire can be an elected official. This petition is for the government to start recognizing this fact and for a discussion to begin. Many other democracies, such as England, limit campaign contributions to a certain number. This would ensure that voters are deciding elections and not money. Why is a millionaires voice allowed to be louder than mine?
