Help end Childhood Cancer. Only 4% of $4.8 Billion in Gov. funding of the National Cancer Institute goes to pediatrics.

Created by T.S. on January 10, 2014

#1 cause of childhood death by disease? Cancer. Average age of diagnosis? 6.

Only 4% of $4.8 BILLION in funding of the National Cancer Institute is invested in pediatrics. The NIH, CDC,& DOD, also conduct research, putting little to pediatrics.

Billions of Government $ wasted, from tax breaks/loans to the wealthy, flight upgrades, office parties, popcorn machines, etc., while our Children Die due to "lack of funding available" for Childhood Cancer?? This is madness.

We ask Congress & the President to cut wasteful spending, allocate new major funds to Childhood Cancer, & hold the NCI & other agencies accountable for allocating far more than 4% to Childhood Cancer.

As Gabriella Miller, an angel taken too soon said.. "Kids are worth more than 4%." & "Stop talking and start doing."
