For too long people have been making the roads unsafe by texting and driving. As a motorcycle rider myself, I see it EVERY DAY constantly. I was also a victim to being hit while on my motorcycle because someone was texting and driving. Text messages can wait, and can save time of police and lives of people.
My petition is to make a more harsh punishment for those texting and driving, and also for those in collision based accidents due to texting and driving.
Texting at stop light: High costing fine minimum $1000.
Texting while in motion: minimum $3000.
Texting while in motion and causing collision: minimum $5000 and jail time.
Texting with collision and killing someone: minimum 10 years prison.
These are just base line #'s, please help make the roads a safer place. Thank you.
