help ensure that members of the US Congress receive only minimum wage and no health insurance.

Created by W.A. on May 09, 2014

Members of Congress have a dismal track record: zero collaboration, minimal effort to represent their constituents and no empathy for the average US citizen.

We respectfully urge that an initiative be launched which will allow the US population to vote on pay and benefits for those elected to serve in Congress.

Moreover, we recommend payment of minimum wage for all members of Congress, with the ability to receive performance-based bonuses. Our recommendation is that 70% of the bonus be voted upon by citizens that they represent directly and 30% of their bonus for performance in Congress.

Additionally, we ask that health insurance be stripped from members of Congress.

These reforms will force Congress to better understand the impact of their decisions on the US population.
