ARGO- The Association of Responsible Gun Owners will be established to counteract the NRA's agenda and their partners in manufacturing assault weapons. ARGO membership will fully support the 2nd amendment rights to own firearms for protection, hunting and collecting, while working through the Democratic process to build consensus among Americans to eradicate assault weapons. With gun owners joining this group we counteract the "slippery slope" argument from the extremist leadership of the NRA. ARGO funds dissemination will be determined by membership after we reach a critical mass. Funds could be used to help communities and families destroyed by this violence, help support police agencies and assist states mental health issues along with a weapons buyback.
