Help experienced American experts in high technology get back to work by providing incentives to employers.

Created by D.R. on October 27, 2011

Many highly educated and experienced American software engineers and other technology professionals are unemployed or underemployed due to outsourcing and the abuse of H1B visas. Companies have hired lawyers to help them write job ads in such a way that American workers can be legally denied employment in favor of foreign workers. Massive outsourcing, excess immigration, and age discrimination have destroyed the careers of many highly qualified American engineers who are in the prime of their productive life. At a time when encouraging American students to study science and technology is more important than ever before, many are turning away from these fields because they are well aware of this phenomenon. This petition calls for strong incentives to hire Americans first.
