Hidradenitis suppurativa is a very painful disease. It interferes with social interaction, job performance and attendance, and intimate relationships. It's a skin condition small to very large lumps under the skin causing pain, itching, drainage, odor and scarring.
Doctors give antibiotics, corticosteroids injections and surgery that can manage symptoms but not cure. We need more research. More insurance companies to cover treatments that can help manage it. People that have are more often depressed. It's more like a cancer that we can not get rid of!
