American Jacob Ostreicher is currently being held against his will in Bolivia. Bolivia is one of the most corrupt countries in the Western Hemisphere. Jacob is a minority owner in a successful rice operation which employs 200 Bolivians and produced 40 million pounds of rice. Because of the success of the rice business the Bolivian government is trying to shakedown the company for money. Fernando Rivera and Denis Rodased, of Bolivia's Ministry of Government, are the ring leaders of the extortion network causing postponements and threats towards judges in the case against Jacob. They have been arrested and to date, 14 people involved in the extortion ring have been sent to prison. Jacob's wife, Miriam, his five children and 11 grandchildren deserve to have him home.
