I'm from Akron, Ohio originally. In recent months it has been hard hit by drugs, most in particular Heroin. Over the last month over 200 people have died just in Akron alone from Heroin overdoses. It's not enough to arrest the drug dealers, arrest one and two more pop up to take their place. Meaningful help for addicts will put those dealers out of business if they have no one to sell to. Subsidized health insurance does not pay for adequate help. I have friends who have seen their kids go into rehab only to be released a week later because of their inadequate insurance and then get hooked again. If this can happen in Akron it can happen anywhere to anyone, rich, poor, educated or uneducated. Sign this petition and urge Congress to act. Evil only triumphs when good people do nothing.
