help Iran with humanitarian assistance because of today's earthquake

Created by S.M. on April 16, 2013

This is a link detailing the amount of foreign aid given by our government to countries in need:

Understandably, we do not give any foreign aid to the nation of Iran. Today's earthquake makes politics and sanctions secondary; our primary goal should always be to help those in need. Even if Iran threatens our well-being, America has an opportunity to show the world democracy works, giving us the ability to help everyone that needs it.

If we come to Iran in their time of need, it could begin the process of making peace with a long-standing adversary, clearing the way for a platitude of peace negotiations.

We have tried closing off Iran; let America try grace and compassion to see if it yields better results. Thank you
