Help job seekers prevent identity theft, stop employer from asking social security number on job application.

Created by J.S. on March 17, 2013

Identity theft is a major problem in the U.S. The best way to prevent or lower the chances of this happening is to limit the amount of time people disclose this information. Job seekers are extremely vulnerable to this because many job applications require this information prior to any job interview or offer. Some job postings are scam and are created to steal this information. It doesn’t make sense to have this information disclosed prior to any consideration for a job offer or interview. If the job seeker denied this information on an employment application, their chances of getting a job is zero. Job seekers have a lot to worry about when they are unemployed, please make identity theft not one of them.
