On December 9, the Florida Office of Executive Clemency will consider the case of Kenneth Young, who was sentenced to life without parole for aiding an older drug dealer in a series of armed robberies when he was 14. The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in May that life without parole sentences are unconstitutional in non-murder cases, but the state has failed to act on Young's case, and only a few of the other defendants serving life without parole have been re-sentenced (usually to extremely long sentences).
