As this petition is posted, the Kurdish people of Syria are under attack by the terror group ISIS, also known as the Islamic State. The city of Kobane, or Ayn al-Arab, is under attack by ISIS, and if the city falls thousands of Kurds, including women and children, may be slaughtered, and as of right now hundreds of thousands more are displaced.
The Obama Administration must take action to protect the Kurdish people and their basic human rights. Food aid, housing aid, and humanitarian relief are all necessities to prevent a crisis, and if military action needs to be taken to protect the lives of innocent people then it must be done.
The Kurdish people do not deserve a fate like this. The United States must step in and protect those who need our help the most.
