Help legislate and impose a ban on talking on cellphones (hand-held) while driving in N.C.

Created by M.F. on June 23, 2013

We, the citizens of North Carolina are asking for your consideration in legislating and imposing a state-wide ban in North Carolina, that would restrict talking on a cellphone while driving.

A distracted driver is the cause of 80% of the accidents and 8 out of every 10 accidents is due to a driver being distracted. Cellphones are the number one cause for a driver being distracted - talking/texting.

It is mandatory that North Carolina enforce a state-wide law that impose a fine upon those that talk/text while driving. It is a safety hazard that puts many lives at risk. Please help to get this law legislated state-wide. Thank you!
