help Mikaela Knapp get compassionate use access to anti-PD-1 immunotherapy from Merck or Bristol-Myers Squibb right now.

Created by K.K. on March 27, 2014

I married my high school sweetheart after we graduated from college in 2011. Two years later, she was diagnosed with kidney cancer.

After 6 months of treatment at UC San Francisco, we are running out of FDA-approved options. The most promising line of research related to her type of cancer is in anti-PD-1 immunotherapies. Merck & Bristol-Myers Squibb are in Phase II/III trials with their anti-PD-1 drugs, but Mikaela is ineligible for these trials for a variety of reasons.

Please help Mikaela & her husband Keith get acccess to these potentially life-saving drugs. 25 is far too young to die, especially when a treatment exists that has proven to be durable (lasting >1 year) when it works. Give Mikaela a chance to beat this cancer.
