Edward Snowden is the now-infamous whistleblower for the U.S. government cell phone surveillance scandal. Bradley Manning is the alleged source of the thousands of WikiLeaks cables that exposed various shortcomings, negligence, and outright corruption of U.S. government- and military-sponsored events. Neither of these men have a criminal record, nor can their actions be directly attributed to the harm of anyone. The entirely selfless act of exposing the U.S. government as a potent and tyrannical bully is worthy of global recognition and praise.
"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism."
