Too many times will you go into a city or a town and see people who are barely surviving. When you turn on your television around the holidays, you see ads for kids in other countries. Poverty is a global pandemic. However, we cannot save the world. We need to focus on those on our soil. I would like to see more being done for those on our streets. I still remember seeing a war veteran lying on a sidewalk because he had nowhere else to go. What kind of message are we sending to our kids or those who serve? If we are hear to live the American Dream, then lets focus our efforts here. Food Banks and shelters are overcrowded, more needs to be done.
