the borders established in 1967 depict a 2 state solution for israel and palestine. israel has seen fit to cross those borders and establish settlements outside of the territory denoted as "Israel" in a misguided attempt to secure its borders. A democratic country cannot muscle out their neighbors for the sake of security, that is where the Soviet Union failed. The United States should back the creation of a Palestinian state and help ensure Israel's safety by working with a Palestinian government to help it become a successful one.
