By passing The Dream Act it would give young men and women the chance to go to school or serve in our military with probational legal residency. They will need to be enrolled in a higher education toward a bachelors degree or enlisted in one of our branches of military. After 5 years of enrolling in the dream act the person must have completed at least 2 years of education or military service. If not completed they will be disqualified. Once 5 ½ years of the 6 years have passed, the individual will then be able to apply for Legal Permanent Residency and consequently will be able to apply for United States Citizenship. This is a great program that will even help bring revenue in taxes which in time will help our economy.
