Help pass Federal Laws to require police to wear video Cameras when On Duty

Created by G.M. on June 08, 2014

Police officers are supposed to serve and protect. But these days we are seeing alarming evidence of cops abusing power, violently attacking people, and then charging them with assault. News & YouTube videos of people beaten to death, SWAT teams maiming people in their homes during no-knock raids, etc

We CAN do something about this and feel safer on our streets and in our homes. Most police are professionals but those who abuse their job should be held accountable. We the public are their employers.

Call on Congress to pass a nationwide law requiring law enforcement to wear body cameras when on duty and keep the videos for 3 years. Put in place a *straightforward* procedure to subpoena those videos during specific court situations. Google the studies -- it helps both cops and civilians!!
