Help pass stricter gun control laws in congress, such as AR bans and much stricter background checks

We need stricter gun control laws in this country to make America safer. This means if you are a law abiding citizen the government will take NOT away your guns. You, as a law abiding citizen, will be able to get guns for self-defense and hunting and will not be affected by these gun control laws. This is in no way against the second amendment. These laws are meant to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally-disabled and to try and make sure that shootings, like the one that happened in Newport, Connecticut, will never happen again. That is why I ask the Obama administration to pass these gun laws so that there will never be another mass shooting in America again
