Many individuals that have been convicted of a crime, no matter how insignificant, are are having a hard time finding employment. With unemployment at a all time high it is even tougher for these people to put food on the table for their families.
Lets stop these people from going back to jail and find them work so they can be productive members of society.
I propose that when doing a background check on a perspective employee you should only be able to go back 5 years. They have already served whatever sentence the Criminal Justice System has seen fit and it is not necessary to punish them further by denying them employment because of it. Do their kids have to suffer because of a parent that made a mistake in the past?
