The rights to the Milestone characters have recently reverted to the family of Dwayne McDuffie and the other creators of the Milestone mythos. Now out of Warner Brothers control, this marks a new era for a seminal PoC line of characters. Through his essays on afrofuturism, Tumblr user Youngbadmanbrown has shown that he has the stuff to redefine the character of Icon for a new generation of readers, both young and old. If he can get this chance, this bright, young individual will be able to ignite the cultural awakening of the 21st century.
