The people in the United States don't understand the struggle millions of people are having in this world, especially the poverty. People who currently have homes should be a lot more thankful to receive something that can impacts their life. Especially through cold/hot weather conditions, food, shelter, etc. World hunger is a huge problem in this world, and no one gives any attention to it. People would usually just feel bad, but they never step out of their comfort zone to help the poverty that are in need.
