Regardless of the amount of resources on Earth, we as a human race will eventually gain the ability for interstellar flight. With future space exploration, we will begin mining "expendable debris", whether it is natural or not. Even now, corporation are planning on mining asteroids. I foresee mining operations on the asteroid belt, between Mars and Jupiter, and eventually the rings of our gas giants. This petition is to prohibit the mining of our ringed planets in order to preserve their natural state. The left over material of those mined space bodies should be pressed into a geometric shape to help identify what has already been mined to reduce expenditure of mining already mined debris.
