There have been over 9,900 deaths due to gun violence in this country since the Newtown shooting. Americans say that they keep guns in their houses for self defense reasons but, statistics show that it is 43 times more likley that using a gun for self defense will end up with a death of a family member, friend or aqquataince rather than an intruder. And just in the US we have over 200 million guns. And innocent children are dying due to gun violence. Is the country we rally want to have to live in? Where citizens have to live in fear due to gun violence?
