News reports continue to prove that too many innocent people are becoming victims; massacred by mass murderers with access to rapid-firing assault weapons with very large and quickly-exchanged ammunition magazines.
Not only are innocent law-abiding citizens repeatedly being subjected to mass murder (at schools, shopping centers, theaters, etc.), law enforcement personnel are also at greatly increased risk of death/injury by such weapons in the hands of mass murderers and criminals.
