Traditionally, when a healthcare worker uses a syringe, they have one hand on the medication bottle and the other on the syringe. Also, after drawing blood into a syringe, there is no safe way to recap without putting their hand at risk of being stuck by the needle. There is a device that will help eliminate the MANY needle stick injuries each year by keeping their hands away from the needle at all times. The device not only allows the user to safely draw medications from bottles, but it allows for safely capping and recapping of the syringe.
Please look into requiring hospitals to use devices such as VialPro by glammesystems in helping keep our healthcare workers safe, and to help stop the spread of contagious diseases.
