Help Puerto Rico; it's not too late.

Puerto Rico is the responsibility of the United States, and they need our help. Please pass the bill to restructure Puerto Rico's $70 million debt. If Puerto Rico defaults on the $400 million debt payment due on May 1st, the impact on their economy will be irreversible, and greatly impact the United States as well. Furthermore, if nothing is done by July 1st, Puerto Rico will miss an $800 million payment that the economy simply cannot handle. The only solution is to pass legislation restructuring Puerto Rico's debt. It is un-American to leave Puerto Ricans behind to deal with this massive debt on their own. It is our responsibility as fellow American citizens to finally start recognizing Puerto Rico and stop hindering the country's economy. Please, we cannot let debt consume Puerto Rico.
