There has been a huge amount of killings and shootings in the city of Newark, NJ. I am a former resident of the city, and I am scared for the lives of my family and friends who currently resides there. Since the mayor, police chief, and governor has not been able to put a stop to the crimes, I think its time that the officials in Washington step up, and make something happen. It is not getting any better, and we can not wait until things get any worse. There are people out here that care, and want to be a part of coming together in the community, but some people are afraid to come forward. Children are dying, people are dying. Its time for something to be done. Sooner than later voices won't be heard, because it will be to late. Step up and do something about this matter.
