We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Help recovering addicts!

Created by I.W. on June 03, 2016

This is a world wide issue, but here in the United States, recovering addicts on a methadone maintance program are to see a doctor in a clinic setting. My proposal is asking that it be changed so people on methadone, be considered to see their own family physician instead of having to attend clinics everyday as patients on suboxone maintanance can with the special condition that as long as the patient has been showing exceptional sobriety as well as negitive urinalysis, each and every time without relapse. Suboxone patients are able to attend spoke doctors, while methadone patients must attend clinics bc of the reason that most doctors will only prescribe methadone for the purpose of pain control and not addiction. Please sign this petition to have this law considered.
