Help to reform copyright law so that in our modern age of technology, and the future, it does not inhibit innovation.

The current technological environment, typified by the smartphone ecosystem, incentivises the distasteful business model of "Litigate rather than innovate." This environment stifles innovation by diverting huge amounts of resources to court battles that could otherwise be used to make new technology or make current technology more affordable. Individual innovators and start-up companies, without financial resources necessary to defend their works, are left without protection. Even while the large companies battle it out and survive, able to easily throw down $100 Million in bonds to temporarily ban a competitor's product, consumers suffer. Copyright should provide protection for all or none, promote innovation, and should put consumers, the American people, first. We want change.
