Student Loan debt cripples the very people that could be helping stimulate the economy. Instead of entering society and buying a car and a home, that money is used to pay off huge debts. This debt will follow these graduates for up to 30 years, taking most of their income. How can the country have a successful future if our young people are doomed with debt?
The income based repayment and forgiveness system for federal loans should be pushed to be used by private loan lenders. Many students do not understand the job market till they are in it, and discover that their income can not cover their living expenses and their debt. Please help!
