I am a U.S. Army veteran, on June 18 my wife and I were married. After the marriage, her father lured her back to Qatar under the false pretense that he has accepted the marriage. Before leaving, she recorded her doubts and pressure of traveling to Doha. As soon as she landed, they took her phone, travel documents and are now holding her hostage. I have evidence that her relatives are physically harming her in order to change her mind. These are very legitimate threats.
She is very reserved and a sweet girl who is under immense pressure at the moment. With no communication, I can't even imagine the amount of suffering she is going through. I believe the Qatari government will most definetly cooperate with us if the U.S. govt and President Obama get involved and ask for assistance.
