Right now, there is an estimate of 20,000 lions left in the wild, and the number continues to dwindle. Just a decade ago, there were 50,000, and a decade before that there were 100,000. There are also no white lions left in the wild, solely in captivity; they believe all of those lions are inbred.
Three of the eight tiger subspecies are already extinct. They believe there are only around 3,500 tigers left in the wild.
Something needs to be done about our remaining cats, before they're all gone.
