Australia has announced a war on feral cats. They are planning to kill 2 million.
Feral cats are a top line predator for rats.
In the middle ages, people killed cats, believing them to be consorts of Satan.
The rat population flourished - and so did the Black Plague.
Without cats, the plague became a widespread epidemic, and nearly 75 million people died.
We ask the White House to suggest funds be used for a widespread sterilization program, which has proven to be the ONLY solution. It has been shown repeatedly that killing ferals does NOT work. When ferals are killed, more ferals proliferate.
