Borders has already closed down, and soon Barnes & Noble will be following in its steps, leaving book lovers everywhere with nothing but another empty store and "e-readers". I want to be able to continue going into a store and spending hours looking at books and buying them. I want to be able to hold a good book in my hand, smell it, read it, carry it around and not worry about its battery dying. Children and adults are too busy watching mind numbing television shows and buying the next Angry Birds game to notice that the world is becoming anti-reading.
I want the government to help keep Barnes & Noble open so that we don't have to buy Kindles and Nooks.
