My grandmother is being hurt financially by having 1% taken check from the state she gets once month. My grandmother worked for The State of Illinois for almost 30 years. She started out as a Clerk for the Department of Revenue in 1975. She retired as a Supervisor in 2001, now she wish she hadn't. Her as well as other Senior Citizen have to make up for the people in powers mistakes over the years. Illinois is in debt of an estimated $85 billion dollars according to the New York Times, which is not of the fault of the people, but the people do have to pay. Our governor of Illinois is talking about raising that 1% next year, what about the year after that is he still going to make the people pay. Please sign my petition to help stop our governor from hurting the citizens of Illinois.
