Help soldiers go to college and remove the 16 credit hour per year cap on GoArmyEd Tuition Assistance.

Created by S.M. on February 04, 2014

Help Soldiers go to college by removing the 16 credit hour cap. This cap is unreasonable and does not allow soldiers to truly use their GoArmyEd benefits. This cap takes what is supposed to be $4500 a year for a soldier to use towards education and limits it to 16 credit hours, regardless of the cost. 16 credit hours is only one semester of college. For some this will mean a soldier can only afford one semester per year. This cap is new in the Fiscal Year 2014 and should have never been put in place. Why take money away from the people who protect us? Do our soldiers not deserve extra help with college just because the government wants to save money?
