The public is angered when it sees goverment abuse it's powers by establishing itself as a class separate and above the public Enacting laws that assure benefits like it's retirement program is a glaring example. Much has been said lately about "class warfare" and the widening gap between the "have and have nots" in our society. As long as the members of our government continue to create special entitlements for themselves, beyond the reach of the everyday citizen, their hypocritical statements about representing and caring about the economic conditions of their constituents will fall on deaf ears.
