Ever since March 2011 millions of Syrians have taken to the streets peacefully demanding an end to the Assad family’s 40-year regime and a shift to democracy.
However, despite the peaceful demonstrations, the Assad regime’s response was nothing near peaceful. It has been a complete military operation against unarmed civilians.
It was reported over 7,000 civilians have been murdered in early January 2012, by Human Rights Watch, Human rights researchers, Avaaz and Amnesty International.
It is time to end the 40 year dictatorship of the Assad family and start a better future for Syria and its citizens!
