We the people need our firefighters. They are our last line of defense in cases of refinery disasters, medical emergencies and sadly tragic massacres. As you well know, what happened in Newton, Conn. they depended heavily on the first responders. I understand that the Newton Fire Station became the safe haven for parents to be reunited with their children and the grieving place for those families who were not. Our fire stations are vital to our community. Two Engine Companies in our County have already been taken out of service which weakens their numbers. When you weaken their numbers it is not safe for them or us. Three firefighters were recently run over by a motorist driving too fast. Please Mr. President we need our fire stations to stay open. Can you please help our firefighters
