Homophobia exists all over the world, but, in Russia, the situation is becoming very serious. Same-sex marriage is not recognized in Russia and same-sex couples cannot adopt children in Russia.
Lately, neo-nazi groups have began emerging, targeting gay people. They lure them in and then torture them both verbally and physically on camera.
Gay propaganda is now illegal in Russia since June of 2013, which violates the right to the freedom of speech. The LGBT community is unable to hold Gay Pride rallies in Russia or even talk to minors about anything to do with homosexuality.
We need to help give the gay people of Russia back their rights and help protect them from the horrible slander and abuse they've suffered.
