An on-officer camera will protect the rights of both the officer and the suspect. It will provide evidence and settle disputes. Technology can afford convenient and inexpensive models to be used for both the officer and suspect's protection. Programs that have already utilized on-officer cameras have seen nothing but positive results from this tool. Suspects are held accountable via video evidence, and police brutality incidents dramatically decrease. Bonus Round: Create jobs by creating an agency that would survey and oversee on-officer cameras for transparency. It is incestuous for police officers to regulate themselves. There is too much of a conflict of interest, and citizens need to feel that they can trust in those hired to protect and serve. Currently, that is not the case.
