Bank bailouts have provided little in return to the bulk of America, the middle class (in its various forms). The programs so far have only helped corporations and exceedingly unfortunate home owners...understanding that some of these individuals are truly unfortunate while others are not.
So I ask, are the rest of us forgotten? Those who still pay a mortgage on a home with extreme negative equity? Those who do not qualify for modifications because values of our homes have dropped so significantly? Those of us who diligently pay banks whose own practices contributed to the economic downturn?
Why are banks being rewarded for poor decisions?
Why not also bail out the negative equity of responsible homeowners?
