For 10 years, TEEN-ANON, from non-profit Streetcats Foundation, has continued to be the only national 12-step fellowship for teens recovering from alcohol and other drug abuse. But the groups are only in about 18 cities at a time.
Most places, there is no affordable teen treatment and even if it exists, no youth aftercare. Teens will NOT go to adult groups and need to be with their peers as adults do.
Help us proliferate many more groups in many more cities. Give us the means, the publicity and help from the Office of Drug Policy and NIDA for a crucial need not being met.
This also influences violence in America, other crime and shatters families.
