The United States has always been a leader in the free world; this is the Nation that leads the world. Nations follow on its example. Other countries seem to be doing a lot better when it comes to fighting FGM and giving victims the resources they need. FGM is illegal in the United States yet no one has been convicted for committing it, but you have kids that are sent back every year and the undergo FGM in what is now being referred to as vacation cutting.
I want the United States Government to look at Nations like the UK and help the victims of FGM. Provide them with resources and accept that this happens in their country as well. I want them to stop delaying asylum applications for women that are trying to flee the practice. Pleas help see the end of FGM.
